Travelling via the Scenic Route from England, leaving the M6 at Gretna and then taking the A74, A75 and A713 through Dumfries & Galloway:
- Follow the M6 North to join the A74, this changes into the A74(M).
- Leave the A74 at Gretna and take the A75 for Dumfries.
- Continue bypassing Dumfries to Castle Douglas.
- Then follow the A713 up the east side of Loch Ken, through New Galloway, etc.
- The A713 goes to Ayr and shortly before Ayr it crosses the A77 at a roundabout. Take the third exit off this roundabout and join the A77 heading north.
- Pick up the A77 and head northbound. This will be variously signed to: Glasgow, Kilmarnock, Irvine, etc.
- Shortly after you have passed Prestwick Airport on your left, you will come to a roundabout. Take the second exit signed A78 Prestwick, Troon, Irvine, etc.
- After a further ½ mile, you will come to another roundabout. Take the third exit signed A78 Troon, Irvine, etc. You are now heading northbound towards Irvine.
- Continue up the A78 and leave it on the slip road at the A737 "Eglinton Interchange", signed for Kilwinning, etc.

- Take the left hand lane of the slip road and at the roundabout take the first exit signed Town Centre.
- After about 250 metres, go round the roundabout and take the exit signed A737 Kilwinning.
- Follow the A737 through the centre of Kilwinning. You will pass through a set of pedestrian lights followed by three sets of traffic lights.
- At the first set of traffic lights go straight on (you will see the James Watt College on your right at this point).
- At the second set of traffic lights go right.
- About 100 yards (metres) further on and you come to the third set of traffic lights where you go right, continuing on the A737.
- Continue along the A737 to Dalry. As you come into the 30 mph restricted area for Dalry, the A737 bends to the right.
- Continue on this road to a set of traffic lights at a T junction. Turn left at the lights and drive up the street, through the square, through the narrow section of road and you will come to the B780.
- Turn right onto the B780 signed to Kilbirnie. You will pass the DSM (formerly Roche) pharmaceutical plant on your right at the bottom of a hill, then the Dalry Inn on your left.
- Shortly after the Dalry Inn, turn left onto the B784 signed to Largs.
- Go up the hill past the farm entrance on the right. The road then bends to the right. Continue round this bend and Langside Farm is about 400 yards (metres) further up on the left. It is the only farmhouse that is right up against the road and it has distinctive black railings along the front, so it's easy to recognise.
- When you first arrive, you can pull up onto the pavement outside. Come through the gate into the garden and ring the doorbell by the door at the right-hand-side (not the front door).
- When we have helped you in with your luggage, we will direct you to our secure parking area.
