Since the inaugural tournament in 1987 The Senior Open Championship has become firmly established on The Seniors world golfing calendar with its popular blend of fierce competition, relaxed atmosphere and camaraderie.
The 2008 Senior Open Championship comes to the magnificent links at Royal Troon where Tom Watson will defend the title he won at Muirfield last year. The Championship is sanctioned by The R&A, European Seniors Tour and The Champions Tour and is recognised as one of golf's five Seniors Majors.
