Eating Out: Braidwoods Restaurant

Braidwoods is run by husband and wife team Keith and Nicola Braidwood. Both partners are "Master Chefs of Great Britain", Nicola is a former Scottish Young Chef of the Year, and Keith earned the immensely prestigious Acorn Award in 1993. Other awards include a coveted Michelin "star", the AA "Best Restaurant in Scotland, Year 2000", and "Scottish Restaurant of the Year" in 2002. The restaurant is delightfully unpretentious - it's the food, the wine and the service that matter here. For us, anything's an excuse to dine at Braidwoods.

To avoid disappointment, we strongly advise you to book well in advance. Furthermore, if you want a "really good night out", leave your car here at Langside and we'll drive you to the restaurant; Keith or Nicola will arrange a taxi back. If you want to go to the Braidwoods website, here it is.

Where Braidwoods Restaurant is located

Braidwoods Restaurant is just off the Saltcoats road on the south-west of Dalry. Driving south out of Dalry, it is signposted from the A737.
